2011 Away Camp (Day 5: Concerts, Intermediates, Apprentices)

Hello Parents!

The weekend has begun. The weather has cooled off over the last couple days - so the boys aren't sweltering.

Today the Apprentice Chorus joined us and settled in while the Concerts and Intermediates did a morning rotation of rehearsals, drums, theory and bells. In the afternoon they all enjoyed some time playing sports, having free time in art, and taking a swim test (if they're an Apprentice).

Led by Sports Director, Gabe Porter, the 2011 Camp Olympics kicked off. A t-shirt relay in the pool, knockout basketball (shooting hoops to see who gets it first) in the gym, and another fun relay race on the field where they had to throw a baseball, football and soccer ball into a goal.

Intermediate, Evan Tiapula, says that the best thing today was "the swimming part of the Olympics"

Intermediates: Evan T., Spencer G., and Carlos M.

After the Olympics, everyone eagerly devoured a dinner of falafel, tabouleh, hummus, and steamed veggies. Of course the highlight of dinner was frozen yogurt!

The boys were treated to an evening movie with popcorn to wind down after a long, fun day.

Enjoy some of the picture highlights of the day:
